Frequently Asked Questions

 Paint Runner®

  • I cannot get the Edger Handle to fit in to the Edger, it keeps slipping out.
    You will need to push the handle in firmly and then you will hear a click. Do not be afraid to use a little force to ensure a snug fit.
  • The Paint does not come out of the roller head.
    You should check that the paint is of a suitable type (see below) and has been thinned according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually around four parts paint to one part water). Paint consistency differs from manufacturer to manufacturer. The consistency of paint you need is similar to custard or cream (thick but pourable). The user should then “charge” the roller for 1-2 minutes on old newspaper before applying to the wall. If the paint does not start to appear on the roller after about 1 minute, the paint is still a little thick and needs to be thinned further.
  • What kind of paint should I use?
    You would need water-based emulsion paint - Vinyl Matt or Vinyl Silk for example. (The paint used in the demonstration is Dulux trade emulsion). The uses of “Non-Drip”, “Single Coat” or oil based paints are not recommended for use.
  • How long does the Paint Runner last?
    The Paint Runner should last at least 12 months with proper use, including correct and timely cleaning as per the instructions. This does depend on the surfaces being painted, if they are continually used on abrasive surfaces this will of course reduce the life span. One tip is to run your hand over the surface to be painted. If it is too rough for your hand, it will be too rough for the Paint Runner.
  • There is a line where the seam of the roller is.
    On first use, the Paint Runner seam is more pronounced and so a line may appear when painting. This will disappear with use as the fabric "beds in". It is also recommended to paint using the “W” method of painting with a roller head. This will assist in painting away the line.
  • The Paint Runner is heavy when full of paint
    The Paint Runner works equally well when full, half full or quarter full. We suggest you fill the Paint Runner to whatever weight you are comfortable with. When using on ceilings, we recommened that you half fill the Paint Runner.

 

Authentic V® Food Processor
  • How long is the Authentic V® Food Processor guaranteed for?
    A 30 day guarantee is valid if you are not happy with the processor and 12 months if any defects occur.
  • Is the Authentic V® Food Processor dishwasher safe?
    No, caution! – be careful when hand washing.
  • The ‘Thick & Thin’ insert is missing from my Authentic V® Food Processor!
    The Thick & Thin insert is packed with this insert already placed inside the processor Frame.
  • Do you sell any other inserts for my Authentic V® Food Processor?
    We supply the following inserts:- Thick & Thin, 3.5mm and 10mm.  (These inserts are supplied with the processor).  Also available is the 1.6mm and the 7mm.
  • My Safety Holder has cracked and I haven’t had it very long!
    The Safety Holder is very strong and normally only cracks if being used incorrectly, make sure that your motion of use is in the direction of the arrows on the holder. Replacement Safety Holders are available for purchase separately.
  • After grating Carrots it has left the processor frame stained!
    A small amount of Milton or Bleach will remove any food stain.  We advise that you use a small brush (i.e. Old toothbrush).
WashMatik® Cleaning System
  • The water won’t flow up the tube!
    Please ensure that you follow the instructions, step-by-step.  If the water is not flowing it is probably a fault with the one-way valve.  Please ensure that the valve is screwed together properly.

Magic Mop

  • On the packaging it says ‘Do not allow the mop head to become dry’!
    This means whilst the mop head is in use.  When you have finished mopping you can let the head dry.  Please remember to fully soak the head each time you use the mop.
  • The sponge head is coming away from the spine!
    If the mop head was purchased less than 12 months ago, please return it to our freepost address and we will replace this for you.
  • The telescopic handle will not stay in place!
    If the mop was purchased less than 12 months ago, please return it to our freepost address and we will replace this for you.
  • The telescopic handle will not screw into the lower section of the mop!
     If the mop was purchased less than 12 months ago, please return it to our freepost address and we will replace this for you.
  • My mop head has turned white!
    If bleach has been used, this will remove the blue dye from the head but this will not affect the performance of the head.
  • How long do the mop heads last?
    That depends on the type of floor you are cleaning and how often.  Generally the mop heads do last a long time and replacements are always available from our company.
FUNBLOX
  • How do I clean the FunBlox?
    FunBlox are dishwasher safe or can be cleaned using a mild detergent such as Milton.
  • Do all the FunBlox boxes have the same number and sizes of pieces inside.
    Yes, all of the boxes have identical pieces, 15 blox, made from 5 different shapes.
  • What does it mean when the pictures on the poster show x1 or x2 at the bottom?
    It means that you need that number of FunBlox to make that particular model.
  • What age is FunBlox suitable for?
    The FunBlox are suitable for children of 3 and up. “From nought to ninety”. N.B. For very young children please ask the caller to remove the small white pieces.
  • Are the FunBlox suitable to be taken into Water?
    Yes - they float and can be great fun in the bath.

Inkjet Cartridge Refill System

  • For any technical questions, please call JR Inkjet direct on 01708 520 500.
  • I can not get this product to work, I have an Epson printer.
    Epson printers require a Zap-It Kit that removes the Chip from the printer so that the cartridges can be refilled.
  • Can I purchase more ink from your company?
    Yes we supply the upsell pack, which contains the three colours.  We also supply the black ink in a larger bottle (60ml)

  • Are the pens permanent?
    No, the ink can easily be washed off clothes and fingers!
  • Are the pens toxic?

Floral Magic® Flower Arranger
  • I thought the Floral Magic® was made of glass!
    No the Floral Magic is made from Crystal Styrene, which is a lot stronger than glass.

Easy Ironing

  • What size are the Ironing Board Covers?
    Large is 53”x18” Ex Large is 58”x20”
  • Can the covers be cut to size?
    Yes, we suggest that you stick the cover on first and then cut round it.
  • Can I stick the cover directly on to the board/metal grill?
    Yes you can – it will stick to most surfaces.
  • I can’t get the old cover off – can I stick the new cover on top?
    Yes this will be fine.
  • Does the ironing sleeve fit any iron?
    Yes.
